If you've read any of my posts over the last few months you know I purchase a lot of my wardrobe pieces from Target. They have great basic pieces at really good prices. You can wear the clothes in many different ways (they're versatile), which means you won't feel bad when you wear the same dress three times in two months. It also means your return on investment (ROI) is high. A high ROI means the investment gains compare favorably to investment cost. In this case I paid $34.99 for the dress and have worn it 3x in a 2 months; theoretically this means I paid approximately $13 each time I wore it (cost). I feel comfortable & confident in the dress AND receive compliments when I wear it (gains). This keeps me feeling authentic in both my style and my budget.
Who What Wear (the go-to website for accessible & affordable fashion) has a clothing line there that offers both timeless and trendy pieces. I tend to have an eye for vintage looks. This dress reminded me of Daisy from The Great Gatsby, so I paired it with a cloche wool hat, my Betsy Johnson maryjanes and Lia Sophia cluster earrings. How would you style this dress?
