Adventures with Patterns

The story of this week's Feature Friday is one of kismet, as we were destined to meet. I'm always on the lookout for chic and stylish women to be inspired by and to feature on the blog. I've received many nominations from my friends & aqcuaintances, yet this woman really stood out. She had an infectiously big smile and she's not afraid to adorn it in a bold color. My kind of gal! I'm in sales, so I cold-called her via Direct Message on Instagram and asked her if she wanted to be featured. Knowing she would be apprehensive and weary I encouraged her to visit my website and all my social media handles to assure her I was legit and not a serial killer luring her to an unassuming death. heh. In Her Nature

We met at a local networking group last fall and kept in touch over the months. She was in marketing for a moving company and I was there representing the hotel I work for as a sales manager. But as it goes we shared other interests in our lives and it quickly became clear that we shared the same love for fashion. I was thrilled & honored when this sweet pea reached out to share her new clothing line with me. She described it as a pop-up clothing line and offered to feature some pieces for the blog. Posh Spice! Victoria Beckham for Target

Fun. Functional. Really cool. Target is collaborating with Victoria Beckham to feature an affordable clothing line. Debuting this spring the collection will feature several themes including Circle Scallops, Pressed English Flowers, English Lace, Clever Bunny and Pop Floral. The line will offer sizes in women's, plus size, girls, toddler and baby. Best part? Prices start at $6 and everything is under $70! In stores April 9 check out some of my favorite pieces below:

My Target Style Obsession

If you've read any of my posts over the last few months you know I purchase a lot of my wardrobe pieces from Target. They have great basic pieces at really good prices. You can wear the clothes in many different ways (they're versatile), which means you won't feel bad when you wear the same dress three times in two months. It also means your return on investment (ROI) is high. A high ROI means the investment gains compare favorably to investment cost. In this case I paid $34.99 for the dress and have worn it 3x in a 2 months; theoretically this means I paid approximately $13 each time I wore it (cost). I feel comfortable & confident in the dress AND receive compliments when I wear it (gains)
